Day 1: Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs
Your safari adventure begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s hidden gem known for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. As you explore the park, you’ll follow the Tarangire River—the only permanent water source in the area—where wildlife congregates, especially during the dry season. Expect to see not just elephants in impressive numbers, but also lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless antelope. After an exhilarating game drive, you’ll head to a beautiful safari lodge (based on your budget preference) to unwind, enjoy the surroundings, and take a dip in the swimming pool.

Day 2 & 3: Serengeti National Park – Endless Plains & Big Game
After breakfast, your journey continues toward the iconic Serengeti National Park. Passing through the Ngorongoro highlands, you’ll reach the park by midday and begin your game drive through its legendary savannahs. Serengeti is world-renowned for its vast landscapes, predator action, and the spectacular Great Migration—a moving spectacle of over a million wildebeest and zebras.
For the next two days, you’ll explore different parts of the Serengeti, tracking lions, elephants, cheetahs, and possibly witnessing dramatic predator-prey interactions. Your lodge, nestled in the heart of the park, offers the perfect base to enjoy the serene African wilderness. Spend your evenings relaxing to the sounds of the bush, perhaps watching impala graze nearby or spotting birds flitting through the trees.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Wonderland
Rise early for a drive to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. As you descend 600 meters into the crater, you’ll be greeted by a rich diversity of wildlife. The crater is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including black rhino, lions, elephants, buffalos, hyenas, zebras, and an impressive variety of birds.
You’ll enjoy a full game drive in this self-contained ecosystem, followed by a scenic ascent out of the crater and a short drive to Karatu or the crater rim, where you’ll spend the night in a cozy lodge tucked into the highlands.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park – Birds, Babbling Brooks & Big Views
On your final day, head to Lake Manyara National Park, a lush, compact park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Despite its size, the park is rich in biodiversity, from tree-climbing lions to large troops of baboons, and over 400 species of birds, including flamingos along the lake shore.
Enjoy a game drive and, if you wish, an optional walking safari, where you can explore on foot and observe wildlife like giraffes, impalas, and buffaloes in a peaceful setting. After lunch, return to Arusha in the late afternoon, in time for dinner or your airport transfer.
